What are the pros and cons of Modern Warfare 2? I know that Eci loves it, however I've got the pvp bug... soooo

has anyone else played it on PC and what are the challenges? I have read up online and there is no middle ground, people either love it or hate it...

sorry DS i own it on PS3..I really dont like 1st person shooters. So i haven't played it much

Pros:

Allwind, Ecieac, and Warreror play it (and lets face it, that in itself is high praise )
The multiplayer aspect of teh game is the reson to get it as the single player is incredibly short. If you have ever played any battlefield games and know how thier rank structure works you will know that it takes quite a while to to make max rank. But Wait! There's more! There is prestige mode as well for those who play nothing but that game. Its not too hard to get it, it jsut takes a while is all. Now, if you have a decent computer read: at least duel core and 3 g Ram and 1g video card, your game will run nice and fast. I will embed a video here so show off the sexyness that is MW2:

Cons:

I've not seen anyone yet named Deathstalker in game, so the handle is all yours man! There is a slight drawback to the multiplayer is the non dedicated servers. Basically if you have a fast computer you run the risk of becomeing the server for the map. It can be annoying as it is slightly laggy. however, if your comp isnt pushing an I7 processor you are good to go. Another con is one that just comes with games of this type, and that is the cheaters... Punkbuster was not implimented into the game so the devs ahve been cracking down on anyone caught using an Aimbot program as both Allwind and Warreror will attest too

I've got it on the 360. I played it when it first came out but had to cut it for a while. It was great but a tad too realistic in some parts for me personally. Many gamers enjoy this aspect of it. I never played multiplayer, but I've got some friends that do and they love it (also on 360). I will probalby come back to it at some point.

Yeah thats the other thing I ahve heard about as well from friends that were in the Army or Marines is that its almost too realisitc.

I have and will always be a FPS guy. This games if nothing less than superb for a FPS. I have played ever COD game ever made and this of course is the best. Since Eic stole my thunder from our phone con ill be brief. If you like to shoot people get this game. The only cons are that one the single player is short but who the heck buys a shooter for singleplayer?? Second which is the biggest concern is that there is no dedicated server. Which means as ryan as saying if you have a fast computer it will be the server and second is there no ADMINs to kick cheaters which piss the hell out of poeple. I was suprised of some of the terms they use in the game are actuall terms we use out in the field. Level of detail awesome.

That's all I can say...

I needed to pvp in wow to calm down. Very fast paced and I was shooting at shadows after awhile... Loved dying to gunships, that's always fun especially when you've got so much esle to think about... Definately a rush. I'll probably need some counciling afterwards...

okay, there are some questions that I have about this freakishly nerveracking game...

1) what is the command to go prone? I can snipe from kneeling and standing position, but I make for a big target...
2) Is there a way in the weapons package to have both a sniper rifle and an assault rifle, aside from dropping the pistol and picking one up in the match?
3) what level or skill allows me to see enemy targets on the map?
4) all other questions that I haven't asked already.

Okay here are some answers for you there DS

1.) The command can be anything you want it to be by going into options and controls. However, I do believe that the default key is "C"

2.) I do not believe there is a way to get both as that might seem overpowered. Those classes of guns are both considered Primary Weapons. There are some really good machine pistols (G18's) and dont discount the shotguns either as they can pack a really mean punch at a semi close range.

3.) The ability to see your enemies on the map is a deathstreak reward called a UAV. Basiclly you have to kill 3 enemies in a row without dying. The default key to use your deathstreak rewards when they become avalible is "4". The more enemies that you are able to kill consecutively without dying the better killstreak rewards will become avalible for your use. When you start customizing your own class you can choose your killstreak rewards that best suit your playstyle.

4.) The answer is Yes.
